Inside a temple shrine, two priests in saffron-orange robes sit at a fire pit, one pouring liquid from a ladle into a brass vessel and a flame rising from the pit. Behind them, a golden throne-like peetha holds two deity murtis: a figure with orange headwear and a garland, and a green-clad figure with a garland. A colourful painted statue of a multi-armed deity with a mace stands on the left wall. The scene reads as a homa or puja.2013-05-28A temple puja in progress before a decorated shrine with two deity murtis draped in green and red garlands of marigolds and leaves, one wearing an orange sash and crown. In the foreground a shaved-headed priest in orange-saffron cloth sits with hands joined, beside an oil lamp flame and a brass kalasha with red flowers and fruit offerings on a yellow-tiled platform. Devotees in white clothes sit nearby, one holding a phone, and a painted guardian figure with a mace stands at left under a golden canopy.2013-05-13May 17 20132013-05-17May 15 20132013-05-15A ritual homa at a temple-style hall. A bald priest in a reddish-brown dhoti and a brown shawl, wearing a rudraksha mala and round glasses, sits on the floor pouring an offering from a silver ladle into a bright fire pit lined with yellow-ochre bricks. Beside him sits a young boy in an orange dhoti and saffron head wrap with a rudraksha mala, seated cross-legged with his hands resting on his knees, near a brass bowl and a basket of petals. Behind them a figure in orange and saffron sits on a red and gold throne draped with marigold garlands. A gold shrine arch frames a decorated deity murti with a crown and garlands on a pink cloth, with a lit oil lamp at the side.2015-04-30A temple puja scene under an arched golden niche. A priest in orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a shaved head and a beaded necklace, stands at left holding a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward the shrine, smoke rising. Inside the niche, two large deity murtis sit side by side, adorned with red and gold garments, gold crowns, necklaces and garlands of marigolds and purple flowers. In front, a white-clad altar cloth and brass lamps surround a white sculpted figure with an orange head-cloth and a garland, shown as a statue, not a living person. Brass vessels, kalasha-style pots and offering plates sit on the stone platform. A red wall and foliage appear outside.2010-11-11April 30 20152015-04-30May 17 20132013-05-17A temple shrine photograph showing a priest in white dhoti and shaved head on the left, holding a brass plate with a flame aarti lamp toward the altar.
