Annadhan in 20112011-01-01 +1 copies17 ஏப்ரல் 2011 திருக்கோயில் பிரம்மோற்சவம்2011-04-17May 05 20162016-05-05Annadhan in 20092009-01-01 +2 copiesA long hall with a tiled floor and corrugated roof where rows of seated men eat a meal from banana leaves placed on the floor. Many wear saffron or orange cloths and white dhotis, and several have grey or white beards. Each leaf holds mounds of white rice and yellow fried items, with steel tumblers beside them. Colourful tasselled hangings line the walls and a framed portrait with flowers stands on a golden stand at the far end, flanked by small lamps, as a figure in an orange garment moves along the center aisle serving food. Another man in white stands at the left doorway. This appears to be an annadan style communal meal in an ashram hall.2011-10-14A photograph of a meal being served in a plain room with pale blue-washed walls, arched alcoves and wooden shutters. A standing man in an orange robe and orange head wrap, his back partly turned, leans over the table to serve. Seated along a long table covered with a white cloth bordered in pink flowers are several people: a bare-chested man in white dhoti drinking from a tumbler, a man in a green-bordered shawl and white dhoti eating, and a woman in an orange and maroon sari with bangles. Each seated person has a banana leaf with small brass bowls and food. The scene has a relaxed, everyday dining feel.2006-09-23A row of shirtless men in orange dhotis sits cross-legged on a bare concrete floor against a blue and cream wall, leaning forward to eat from banana-leaf plates and steel tumblers. The man at right wears a red thread necklace and a red-and-green dhoti border. Others have grey or white hair and beards. Food remnants and small steel cups lie on the floor. A person in white stands at the far left edge.2006-09-23A photograph of a long canteen-style dining hall with bare grey concrete walls and blue-legged chairs at a steel-topped table. Several men sit eating from steel plates, including a bearded man in saffron-orange robes with long grey hair and a bearded man in white dhoti and shirt. Other saffron-clad men and white-clad attendants stand or sit along the table, while a cameraman in the foreground films with a camcorder and a phone is held nearby. Orange and yellow cloth hangings decorate the wall.2011-09-09Annadhan during Nasik Kumbhamela 20152015-01-21 +1 copiesAnnadhan during Nasik Kumbhamela 20152015-01-21 +2 copiesSeptember 23 20062006-09-23 +1 copiesDecember 12 20072007-12-12
