A bronze statue of a bare-chested young saint with a shaved head, adorned with a yellow flower garland, is being bathed with a stream of yellow liquid poured from a brass pot by a shirtless man with a rudraksha mala on the right. In the foreground a bald man with a rudraksha mala and reddish-orange cloth kneels and bends over the statue's base, hands low near the platform. The priest has a shaved head, rudraksha beads on his wrists and neck, and a red-orange cloth wrapped on his lower body. Behind him a large garland of yellow, orange and purple flowers hangs, and a blurred crowd of devotees stands in the background. The statue is being bathed in an abhishekam ritual. The priest is a shaved-headed ritual officiant, and no appearance-based candidate for a person is present in this image.2016-12-05A photograph of a shirtless man in an orange-brown dhoti and matching shawl pouring liquid from a brass vessel over a golden statue of a standing figure with hands folded in namaskar. The statue has a shaved head and wears a small loincloth; a visible gold figure stands on a pedestal. The man has white sacred markings on his arms and a rudraksha mala at his neck. Behind him are garlands of yellow, orange, white and purple flowers hung on a frame, and metal railings with tiered seating blurred in the background. The scene suggests an abhishekam offering.2016-12-09December 14 20162016-12-14December 09 20162016-12-09A shirtless man in an orange dhoti with a rudraksha mala pours water from a golden kalasha over a bronze statue of a standing figure, which wears a yellow and white flower garland. The statue has a bare head and folded hands, and the pouring water shows as a spray. Behind them is a tall decorative column of marigold and purple flower garlands, and white metal railings frame the scene. Blurred tiered seating with spectators and red flags fills the background. The scene matches an abhishekam-style pouring on a statue; no visible person clearly matches the a person description, so the statue is a depiction of a figure rather than a living person.2016-12-03A bronze statue of a standing figure is being bathed with a golden-yellow liquid poured from a brass pot held by a bare-chested man with rudraksha beads, who stands at right. The statue wears a garland of yellow flowers draped from shoulder to waist and rests on a raised pedestal in front of white metal scaffolding and a blurred crowd. A bald man in an orange dhoti and shawl leans over at lower right, with rudraksha malas around his neck. The scene reads as an abhishekam offering to a murti, with liquid splashing off the statue. Brass vessels sit in the foreground.2016-12-03December 12 20162016-12-12December 14 20162016-12-14December 06 20162016-12-06
