A large seated audience of women fills a covered tent at an evening convention. Most wear white saris or white salwar with black beaded rudraksha-style malas, while others wear saris in green, orange, pale blue, red checks and yellow. Many sit cross-legged on red mats, some holding notebooks or pens, some with eyes closed in meditation. Behind them, a backdrop banner reads Nithyananda Gallery, and a poster panel and small orange-and-white decorations hang from the tent. No a person candidate is visible in this crowd; the frame is filled by devotees.
