The murti sits on a gilded ornamental frame, and a smaller gold figure stands beside it. Behind, a blurred riverside setting shows stone banks, a yellow-and-red banner, and a few distant people in orange and white. No identifiable a person figure is clearly present; the visible person is only a partial orange-sleeved arm holding the vessel.2006-05-27May 27 20062006-05-27May 27 20062006-05-27Close view of a gold-coloured deity murti with ornate carved details, including a small gold kalasha-like finial and an animal figure, beside a dark curved frame in the foreground. A hand at right holds a polished silver vessel, water droplets on its rim, apparently pouring or offering water. Behind, a wide rocky riverbank with pale stones and a blurred view of figures in orange garments near stone steps.2006-05-27A close photograph of a golden murti, a deity figure with a tall ornate crown, being bathed by water poured from a steel vessel held by a hand at the upper right. The metal shrine frame curves at left, and a rocky riverbank with blurred figures fills the background. In the lower right, a person in orange robes sits at the edge of the frame, and a second figure in saffron stands at lower left. Their faces are partly cropped or blurred, so no one is clearly identifiable. The scene suggests abhishekam at a riverside setting.2006-05-27Outdoor photograph of a hand pouring water from a steel vessel over a gilded brass deity murti on a riverbank of pale grey stones. The gold figure has an ornate pointed finial and a circular medallion; a metal wheel-like element with rays is at left. In the blurred background, a person in orange robes sits near the water and another in a white shirt stands, with a bright, sunlit river setting.2006-05-27Close-up photo of a devotee pouring golden liquid. The devotee's raised arm wears a dark rudraksha mala bracelet, and the liquid streams down the crown and face. Behind, a blurred figure, red wall and wooden pillar suggest an outdoor ritual setting, consistent with an abhishekam.2013-10-13A figure with long dark hair and an orange-saffron robe pours liquid from a small metal vessel over a golden deity murti on a raised platform, with a gilded arched frame behind it. Below, a large group of people in orange and saffron clothing sits on dry riverbed stones in a mountain valley, with pine-covered slopes, whitewashed buildings and a small temple dome in the background. The scene resembles an abhishekam at a riverside setting; a rudraksha mala hangs from the figure's wrist. Swamiji (probable) is shown performing the ritual, identified by long swept-back hair, saffron robes and rudraksha mala. Several people in the crowd wear orange, and a woman in dark clothing sits at the lower left.2006-05-27A close photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a golden murti of Lord Subramanya, the deity holding a spear (vel) in one raised hand. A person's hands, wearing a bangle and a beaded wrist mala, pour a thick golden-yellow liquid from a silver vessel over the figure. The deity's ornate gold arched backdrop and carved decorative metalwork frame the scene, with brass pots blurred in the background. No people's faces are visible and no identifiable a person is present.2011-11-01
