Night-time outdoor gathering on a sandy ground at an event site under a corrugated metal shelter with a bright work light. A sign reading K.R. Ramaswamy (Tamil text) hangs on the shelter. Many people sit on the sand in white clothes; women wear saris with orange and white borders and one wears teal. A standing figure in orange robes stands near the centre-right beside a seated person in orange robes at a small table with containers. Other men in white shirts and dhotis stand around, one photographing with a camera, and a dark vehicle is parked at right. The scene reads as a community meal or group sitting.

A central figure in a saffron-orange robe and a tall orange turban stands at the front, with a bare-faced ceremonial standing posture, facing a seated group. Roughly two dozen seated people sit in a semicircle, many young women with long braided hair wearing white and orange saris and salwar, and several men in white dhotis and shirts. Standing people line the background, some in white and some in orange scarves, near a table with metal containers and a small stool. A child in a white outfit sits at left, and a man in white sits in the front row. At right, a seated man in an orange robe with an orange turban and rudraksha mala sits with folded hands, facing the gathering; his long hair and rudraksha cues are visible but his identity is not established from appearance. Behind them, a red-lit display board and scaffolding frame the hall, with people standing on a raised platform at upper right.2008-01-02
