A photograph of a tall ornate wooden flagstaff, the dhwajastambha, rising against an overcast grey sky with its carved turned sections and crossbar and a small pointed finial at the top. In the foreground dark green leaves of a plumeria tree frame the view. The flagstaff suggests a dhwajarohanam flag-hoisting ceremony, though no people are visible.
