A photograph of young male and female performers in a silambam-style pole display inside a corrugated metal hall. Five performers are stacked and balanced on a single tall wooden pole, several barefoot and shirtless, wearing orange and red short cloths. The top performer is suspended in mid-air with legs extended, others grip the pole with hands and feet, and a bright orange cloth hangs over a grey cabinet at lower left. Rows of red-cushioned seats and metal railings line the right side.

Several boys in orange and red shorts and bare-chested stand on each other's shoulders, with the topmost child balanced high above, arms outstretched. Other boys lie on the mat supporting the base and steady the central wooden pole, while onlookers stand along the left wall. A tripod and rolled striped mats sit on the floor, and a framed picture hangs on the left wall. The scene resembles a gymnastics or mallakhamb-style display rather than a ritual.
