Night photograph of a crowd gathered in darkness facing a brightly lit ceremonial float or chariot in the distance, illuminated by strong lamps. Many people in white and light clothing stand in the foreground with their backs to the camera, some with bags over their shoulders, watching the procession. Strings of coloured lights and decorations glow at the edges of the field, and a tree branch hangs in the upper right. The decorated vehicle carries figures in bright ornamental dress, and the scene suggests a night procession.
