December 19 20102010-12-19A photograph of a standing statue of a man with short hair and a bare chest, draped in a dhoti-style cloth and raising one hand in blessing, being anointed with thick golden-yellow liquid poured from a metal vessel. A person in an orange robe and a gold bangle pours the liquid over the statue's head, and yellow droplets splash through the air. The statue is a depiction, not a physical person present, and the scene appears to be a ritual abhishekam. No readable event name is visible in the image itself.2010-12-19 +1 copiesDecember 19 20102010-12-19December 19 20102010-12-19December 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesA priest in saffron-orange robes with a gold-coloured shoulder cloth and a beaded necklace pours golden liquid from a brass vessel over a golden statue of a standing figure. The statue has its hand raised in blessing, wears a draped dhoti-style cloth, and is set on a lotus-like base. Golden abhishekam liquid runs down the statue and splatters onto the stone surround, with a gold-trimmed basin below. The priest's wrist bears gold bangles, and the background shows blurred greenery and a red-painted architectural element. The statue depicts a person and is not a living individual.2010-12-19 +1 copiesDecember 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesDecember 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesDecember 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesDecember 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesDecember 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesA golden statue of a standing male figure, face and chest glistening with poured liquid, is being bathed in abhishekam. A hand at the upper left pours from a silver vessel with an engraved pot-shaped spout, and oil-like liquid runs down the statue's face, torso and draped yellow dhoti. Clumps of white paste cling to the shoulders and waist. The raised right hand is in abhaya mudra. Behind, a blurred figure in orange robes and a saffron turban sits before garlands of yellow and purple flowers and a white cloth.2010-12-19 +1 copies
