Outdoor photograph of a riverside or lake ritual at red sandstone steps. In the water, devotees in white and yellow dhotis stand near two wooden palanquin-like frames, while two figures lie or float face-down on the surface near the bank. A saffron-robed man stands at the water's edge at centre, with a white-clad figure beside him. A multicoloured parasol-style canopy stands on the steps above. A large crowd of men and women, many with folded hands, watches from the stepped embankment and the railed walkway. Banners overlook the scene, and a water surface reflects the steps.
