Night procession on a decorated silver-canopied ratha or chariot. A man seated on a central throne-like seat holds a long red-and-silver trident-like staff upright in his right hand, wearing a rust-orange dhoti, gold necklaces, a pink-and-white flower garland and rudraksha-style beads, with a crown-like headpiece. He appears to be a probable Swamiji by visible cues: long dark hair, ornate gold jewelry and garland. The chariot is hung with multicoloured tassels in red, green, yellow, purple and blue, golden leaves and a peacock-feather motif. Around it, devotees in saffron and orange clothing stand with brass pots and kalasha vessels, one raising a hand; a lamp-lit night street with a few onlookers surrounds the scene.
