A photograph of a construction site showing a large red-painted stepped structure leading down to a water body on the right. Dozens of black polished stone shivalingams are arranged in rows across the steps. Several workers in work clothes are working on the steps and near piles of stone slabs and timber. Potted plants line the left edge, and a multi-storey concrete building and open dry land appear in the background.

A photograph of a long, stepped embankment under construction at an open site. The steps are faced with alternating red and white bands, and rows of dark grey stone Shivalinga-shaped forms with round tops are set along the sloped face. Potted plants with red and green foliage line the right edge. Excavated red earth, a blue information board, construction machinery, a green utility box and a black mesh screen sit in the background under a pale sky. No people are visible.

Rows of seated figures in white clothing sit on red-tiered steps beside a still water pool, with rows of grey kalasha-style pots arranged across the upper tiers. Potted green plants and red flowers stand along the top edge. Bare ground, scattered white posts, a fenced boundary and a few trees and a white house fill the background. The seated figures appear to be devotees in white ritual dress, arranged in ordered lines for a ceremony; no individual is clearly identifiable as a person, so no identity is asserted.

A photograph taken on a sideways-rotated frame showing a long row of red-and-white tiered concrete steps with black cylindrical fittings along the risers, under construction at an open site. Metal scaffolding rods run diagonally across the steps. Several workers in colourful clothing crouch and stand near the base of the steps among stacked stones and debris, and a figure in orange clothing stands near the top. Bare saplings, a tree and utility poles line a dirt area beyond, under a pale hazy sky.

A photograph of a large rectangular reflecting pool at an ashram, with a tall black Shiva linga on a square pedestal in the centre, water spraying from its sides and top. Terraced red-brick steps line both banks, planted with rows of small potted plants. Several people wade and bathe in the water around the linga, while a few stand or sit on the steps at the left, some in white clothing. Concrete buildings, trees and hills form the background under a partly cloudy sky.

A photograph of a large red and white stepped tank or kund with rows of unlit clay oil lamps lined along its tiered steps, potted plants placed on the upper ledges, and a dark water pool at the bottom. Tall coconut palms and a utility pole stand in the background under an overcast sky. No people are visible in the scene.
