A photograph of a yellow-walled, tiled-roof school building seen through a large leafy tree. Schoolchildren in white shirts and dark skirts or shorts look out of open windows and stand in the courtyard and on the path. A boy in a white shirt and shorts raises his arms in the foreground, and a girl in a school uniform stands at the right edge. Yellow wall lettering in Tamil reads a public health message about drinking clean, boiled water. A low grey concrete wall runs along the bottom of the frame. No a person candidate is visible, and no ritual or event activity is shown.

A row of schoolchildren in grey-and-white uniforms sits along a yellow colonnaded veranda of a school building, seated on a raised concrete ledge between pillars. Girls in pinafore dresses with white blouses and ties sit in front, one with a yellow flower in her hair, and some hold small papers. Boys in grey shorts and white shirts sit further back. Above them hangs a large white banner showing two smiling men in white doctor-style coats with orange trim, lanyards and red-and-white ID cards, with a red band at the bottom bearing partly visible Tamil script. Small paper pennant flags hang along the eaves.

A photograph of a school classroom with a plain pale wall and tall barred windows. Many schoolchildren sit on woven mats on the floor, mostly girls in white shirts with blue skirts and some with jasmine flowers in their hair, and boys in white shirts and khaki shorts. Some children lean forward or move between rows, and a wall chart and a colourful poster hang on the wall.

A dusty orange schoolyard shaded by large trees, with many children in white shirts and grey or khaki shorts and trousers moving across the ground. A small boy in a white shirt and khaki shorts walks toward the foreground in orange sandals. Another group of uniformed students stands in rows in the distance near white-washed buildings. On the right, a white vertical banner with a blue and orange border shows printed photographs and Tamil lettering. A woman in a blue sari stands at left among the children. A thin young sapling is tied to a wooden stake, and a metal bucket sits on the ground beside it.

A photograph of a rural outdoor scene near a yellow wall and a leafy tree. On the left, a person in white ritual clothing and white dhoti holds a metal bowl and stands facing a group of children. A woman in a dark floral sari stands beside them. Several school-aged children in blue uniforms and a girl in an orange dress and red-patterned skirt raise their hands and smile, lined up against the wall. A man in a white shirt raises a hand near the center. A toddler in a yellow dress is held up on the left. Behind the wall a temple-style spire and palm trees are visible.

A large group of children sits cross-legged on sand beneath a wide, spreading tree with thick twisting branches. Many children wear white, orange, pink, green and blue salwar or dress clothing, and several wear small name badges. In the foreground on the left, an adult in white clothing stands at the edge of the frame. Other adults in white and a figure in green move among the trees behind the seated children, one climbing on a branch. The scene appears to be an outdoor children's gathering.

A photograph of a large group of children sitting on dirt ground outdoors, many raising small booklets or cards with orange and white covers high in the air. Girls wear bright salwar kameez and ghagra-style outfits in yellow, pink, blue, orange and green, with some wearing bangles and necklaces. Boys wear shirts and shorts in mixed colours. Behind them, two men stand near a whitewashed building with a barred window, one in a light shirt and dark trousers and the other in a khaki uniform, while a woman in a blue sari stands at left and onlookers stand at the right under trees. A partly visible printed poster is held at right edge.

A large outdoor gathering of schoolchildren seated cross-legged on bare dirt under trees in front of a white multi-storey school building with columns and wooden doors. Girls in the foreground wear green and cream uniforms or navy vests over white shirts, some with braided hair and school bags beside them. Many boys in white shirts sit in rows behind them. A palm tree and a low boundary wall are visible, and no a person candidate is visible.

Children and an older woman sit on a low concrete ledge beneath a green-roofed pavilion, peering toward something off-frame. A girl in a bright pink top with yellow and floral embroidery smiles broadly, next to a girl with a red bindi and a boy in a brown checked shirt and khaki shorts with an orange thread bracelet. Behind them an older woman in a white sari with a floral pattern watches. Green trees and a dusty landscape fill the background. No a person candidate is visible in the scene.

In the foreground, several smiling boys and a serious-faced girl in white and blue clothes lean together; one boy on the right raises an open hand and another holds up a palm. Behind them, adults in plaid and striped shirts and a man in a pale light-blue checked shirt with a white ID card stand in the crowd. No a person candidate is visible in the frame.
