A man in white dhoti with gold-banded borders and a silver staff on the left leads the way. In the centre, a man in a rust-orange robe, rudraksha mala and ornate gold necklace, with a pink-red turban, walks beneath a yellow fringed parasol held by an attendant. Four prominent men walk forward in saffron and orange sannyasi robes: on the left a man in a rust-orange turban and long rudraksha mala waves his hand; next to him a bearded man in orange cloth; beside them a long-haired, long-white-bearded elder in orange shawl with red-and-white beads and a red mala. On the far right a bare-shouldered devotee in white dhoti and red shawl wears gold necklaces. Behind them devotees in white dhotis with gold borders and marigold garlands crowd the path. No identification of the elder is made from appearance alone; the outdoor procession setting and orange robes suggest a sadhu procession.2016-05-04Outdoor procession under an overcast sky.
