A photograph of a crowd seated on red-painted tiered steps beside rows of black stone Shiva lingams on pedestal bases with brass bowls and lamps. In the foreground a red flag bears a smiling portrait of a man in an orange-yellow turban against a white background, with a dark-haired figure in the flag's image. A bare-chested man in white dhoti sits with palms joined near the centre, another man with a rudraksha mala and bare chest sits with hands folded, and a woman in a blue sari with palms pressed together sits to the right. Several dozen other devotees in mixed white and coloured clothing sit on the upper tiers. The scene suggests a group abhishekam or puja at the lingams.
