Night procession at the Kumbh Mela camp of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam. A figure in a saffron-orange robe with a matching orange turban stands on an ornate golden palanquin-style float, one arm raised high holding a canopy pole draped in multicoloured tassels and a long garland of white and pink flowers. Around the float, devotees in white and orange clothing raise their hands, clap and press forward, several carrying ornate umbrellas and red-and-gold ceremonial fans. A banner at right shows a portrait printed on red fabric, and floodlights illuminate the scene against a dark sky.
