A photograph inside a temple hall during a ritual. A standing figure in a rust-red turban and reddish-saffron robe, with a white and red flower garland, smiles while holding a small brass cup over a black stone deity murti. The murti wears white dhoti-style cloth, an orange and gold shawl and a garland of white jasmine and red flowers. Behind and around them, a crowd of men in white shirts, dhotis and checked shirts presses close. Silver trays hold flowers, a bowl of kumkum and yellow powder, and offerings. Corrugated roof and metal framing are visible overhead.

Behind him, a crowd of men in white shirts and dhotis, some wearing rudraksha-style brown beaded malas, watches closely. A brass tray of colourful flowers and a small bowl of liquid sit in the foreground, with another offering tray at the lower left. Metal scaffolding and a tin roof frame the scene.
