A man in a long-sleeved white kurta and white dhoti prostrates full length on the mat, forehead to the ground, while a seated man in an orange robe with an orange wrap bends forward, holding a small bundle of yellow-wrapped items above a tray of offerings. A shaved-headed man in white with an orange shawl and red-bordered white dhoti stands watching. A bald-headed man in an orange robe stands behind the seated figure. A bearded man in white with a rudraksha-style bead necklace stands near the offerings. Two young girls in blue and red dresses with hair clips and a man in a striped shirt stand at the right edge, watching with folded hands. Scattered petals or grains lie on the mat, and a tray of red-and-gold items sits on a table at left.2011-01-16April 01 20082008-04-01December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04December 20 20062006-12-20February 15 20092009-02-15January 22 20102010-01-22December 23 20072007-12-23Outdoor photo of a temple-style ritual offering. A central figure in a long flowing saffron-orange robe with long swept-back dark hair and a golden necklace stands holding a folded newspaper, appearing to read or review it. Beside him, a bare-chested man in a saffron-orange dhoti and rudraksha mala stands looking down. In front, a devotee in white dhoti prostrates face-down on the ground near a table laden with flower garlands in yellow, red and white, banana leaves, a silver tray of yellow rice, coconuts, brass bowls of kumkum and vibhuti, and cloth. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts with tilak marks stand around. Background shows a chain-link fence, shrubs, and a thatched structure. Eight people are visible.2011-01-16
