August 02 20082008-08-02Night photograph of a crowd gathered around a seated figure in saffron-orange robes and a long yellow-beaded garland, with long dark hair and white forehead markings. Street lamps and a flash-lit background show an outdoor setting with more people in the back. A man at left holds his hands together respectfully. The seated figure is positioned at right on a raised platform edge; a candidate matching a person by appearance (long swept hair, orange clothing, bead malas) is visible, so this is probable. Around them, several men wear white dhotis and orange shawls, one with a rudraksha mala and another with a white forehead mark. A younger man in orange kneels in front holding a mobile phone, while more people stand in the background among lights and a camera on a stand at upper right.2008-08-02August 02 20082008-08-02A crowd of men at night in a dim setting. In the centre a long-haired figure in saffron robes wears a large gold pendant on a long beaded rudraksha mala and a white forehead mark, raising one index finger while speaking; the appearance-based candidate for Swamiji (probable), with long swept-back hair and a saffron robe with ornate gold pendant as cues. Around him, a younger saffron-robed attendant, a man in saffron-trimmed white shirt, and other men in white shirts with orange shawls and beaded necklaces walk closely. Several more people stand at the edges in white and orange.2008-08-02August 02 20082008-08-02August 02 20082008-08-02Outdoor photo of a seated man in saffron-orange robes with a long rudraksha mala and a red tilak on his forehead, sitting on the ground among devotees under a tree.
