A photograph of a ritual scene in front of an ornate gold throne decorated with garlands of yellow, orange, red and white flowers. A bare-chested figure with long swept-back hair, wearing a saffron-orange garment, multiple rudraksha malas and ceremonial gold necklaces, sits and guides a child's hand into a silver plate of white grain or rice. Beside them a man in a light green shirt and khaki trousers leans in and holds the child's shoulder. A second saffron-clad attendant stands at the right, facing the plate. The child wears a red and white striped top with a blue cartoon print. Brass and gold ornaments and a marigold-decorated altar surround the group.2009-12-24A photo of a ritual scene before a gilded throne decorated with flower garlands in red, yellow and orange. A long-haired man in saffron-orange cloth and a multicoloured flower garland sits centrally, his hand on a silver tray of grains or rice that a young girl in pink reaches toward. A man in saffron-orange robe with long hair leans in from the right, holding the tray. Around them, a woman in white clothes with a bead necklace, a bespectacled man in light shirt and a woman with hair tied back look on. The man in the centre wears a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with a multicoloured flower garland, a small red tilak on his forehead, and long dark hair. A second man on the right, in orange robes and a gold chain necklace, supports the tray with one hand. Behind them is a gold-embossed throne and a floral backdrop, and a third person in orange stands at the left edge. The scene resembles a child's first-grain ceremony, with the boy placing a hand in the rice. The central man has long hair, a saffron shawl and a rudraksha-style necklace, so the appearance is a person match.2009-12-24December 24 20092009-12-24December 24 20092009-12-24December 24 20092009-12-24A photograph of a seated man in orange robes with a multicoloured flower garland and red tilak, seated before a gold ornate throne with floral decorations behind.
