The portrait shows a seated man in orange robes with a rudraksha-style white bead mala and a raised right hand, in front of a large tree trunk. Brass lamps and carved stone pillars stand in the background. The portrait is a depiction, not a person physically present, and the gold throne and garland mark it as an honoured image.June 01 20092009-06-01November 01 20052005-11-01September 21 20062006-09-21January 01 20042004-01-01A smiling man sits surrounded by a dense backdrop of yellow and orange marigolds and purple flowers, with a golden kalasha-like ornament at the top. He wears a pink turban with a jewelled brooch and a white-and-gold chain, and has a red tilak on his forehead. He is draped in long garlands of red and white jasmine flowers, and a few cellophane-wrapped flower packets rest in front of him. The setting appears to be a flower-decorated ceremonial stage. a person is shown here by the pink turban, jewelled ornaments and abundant garlands, consistent with a felicitation setting.2013-01-06
