A photograph of an evening pradosha puja offering laid on white cloths on the floor of a temple. Metal bowls hold rice, lentils, sweet and savoury preparations, and a plate holds bananas and a coconut. A brass oil lamp burns among the bowls. On a white-draped platform at right stands a framed portrait garlanded with white flower strands and red blossoms; the portrait shows a long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha-style necklace, labelled with a printed Tamil caption. A wooden staff lies across the platform, and a saffron cloth with flowers rests on the patterned carpet below. Several people in white dhotis stand barefoot at the top of the frame, and a man kneels in prayer at the left edge.
