Close photograph of herbal medicine preparation on a mat. Two black stone pestles stand upright in a square black stone mortar dusted with yellow turmeric powder. Beside it a carved pale stone mortar holds more yellow powder and a yellow-and-white pestle. Green herb sprigs lie in clay bowls and small pots, with a dark paste in one bowl. Two seated people in rust-red and orange garments are partly visible at the top; only their hands, knees and feet show. Silver vessels sit in the background.
