Several people in white and saffron-orange robes sit on the ground around small fire pits made of stacked bricks, where homa flames rise. A seated figure in the foreground wears an orange shawl and tends a fire. Further back, a row of white-clad participants sits before a draped backdrop under electric lights, a yagna-style fire ritual in progress.2006-09-29A photograph of a homa fire ritual in a crowded hall. A man in white dhoti with a colourful striped cloth, wearing an orange turban, rudraksha mala and wristwatch, sits cross-legged behind a wooden fire platform decorated with yellow marigold petals and pink rangoli. He holds a cupped hand over a copper bowl while flames rise beside him. A bare-chested priest in an orange-yellow shawl faces him from the foreground. Behind them, devotees in white, green and saffron clothing sit with hands folded in anjali, and a standing man in white and saffron looks on.2016-12-05
