A street procession in a residential lane in Tamil Nadu, with a green carpet laid down the middle. Men in white dhotis and white shirts carry large framed banners printed with a smiling portrait of a figure in orange headwear and orange robes. A man in a white dhoti holds a garland of red and white flowers and walks beside a woman in a sari carrying a small child, while drummers in white clothing play drums behind them. Onlookers stand along white single-storey houses and a utility pole. The banners show a printed portrait, not a visible person, and the identity of the figure in the banners is not established from appearance.
