Photograph of a crowd outside a stone temple gateway with pillars and a lamp post. At the centre, a smiling man with short dark hair and a white forehead mark wears a large garland of orange, red and white flowers over an orange-red garment, with a gold necklace visible. Around him, saffron-clad devotees with shaved heads and white markings surround him, while a row of news cameras and microphones, including Puthiya Thalaimurai and Sun News branded mics, press in from the front. Several men in white shirts and white-clad onlookers stand in the crowd behind. Whether the central man is a candidate for the page subject cannot be determined from appearance, so he is described by role as a garlanded man at the centre of media attention.
