A street protest photograph outdoors in front of a green signboard with Tamil text and a gate. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at a microphone on a stand, wearing a multicoloured striped shawl over his shoulder and speaking with an open hand raised. Beside him a man wears a saffron-orange cloth draped over his shoulder, and a woman in a peach saree with floral pattern holds a small object in her hands. Several men in white shirts and dhotis stand behind them, and one man raises a fist at the top right. A white banner held by two men at the bottom carries Tamil lettering in black and red. The scene is a public demonstration, with no deity, ritual or throne visible.
