A photograph of a group of people crouched closely together on a gravel and dirt ground, all leaning inward toward a single spot. A person in a bright purple hooded rain jacket with lime green trim reaches a bare hand down to the ground. Beside them, a figure in black sleeves and a black cap reaches in, and a person in a red shawl with gold border stands at the right edge. Others in blue and orange jackets surround the group, with orange and blue bags visible at the top left. The gathering suggests a touching or pointing ritual gesture at the ground.2011-08-11August 04 20112011-08-04 +2 copiesPhoto 11681667Outdoor photo on a gravel or dirt path of several people in cold-weather gear. In the foreground a person in a mint-green hooded jacket kneels low, forehead bowed toward the ground in a prostration. Behind them a person in a black jacket is also bent forward. To the right, a standing figure in red garments with a gold-bordered sash and brown gloves wears brown hiking boots. At left, a person in a blue puffer jacket holds an orange cloth and dark gloves. The scene suggests a mountain pilgrimage with devotees performing prostration and bowing on the ground.2011-08-042011 - Glimpses Of KailashYatra +2 copiesOutdoor photo of a group of pilgrims kneeling and reaching down to touch or dip their hands into the cold water of a high-altitude lake with a pebbly shoreline and dry golden hillside behind. In the foreground a woman with long brown hair, dark sunglasses and a navy knit cap with snowflake motif wears a blue-grey fleece vest over a red-orange shawl and holds a phone. Beside her a tall person in full orange-red robes stands at the right edge, and several others in orange and red jackets crouch along the water's edge under a pale cloudy sky. No one wears a face-based identification cue, and no candidate is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance.2012-08-06January 08 20062006-01-08August 11 20112011-08-11 +2 copies2011 - Glimpses Of KailashYatra +2 copiesAugust 08 20122012-08-08April 24 20132013-04-24A photograph of two shaved-headed men in rust-red and maroon ochre robes with golden borders kneeling and digging into sandy earth in a pit, one using his hands while the other reaches down beside him.
