A photograph of a Durga puja at a decorated altar with a large multi-armed Durga murti in red and gold draped garments, riding a roaring lion, holding weapons and surrounded by yellow marigold garlands and tall gold-framed ornamental arches. Two men stand at the right in deep red-brown dhotis, the nearer one wearing a rudraksha mala and a white flower garland, the other bare-chested with a white garland, both facing the altar with oil lamps and offerings in front, including a green gourd and floral arrangements. The second deity figure at left in pink and white is also garlanded. No clearly identifiable a person is present; both men are ritual participants in ceremonial dress.
