A woman in an orange saffron sari-style garment stands at left holding a small brass vessel, facing a seated crowd. Many devotees sit on the ground in white ritual clothes, hands folded in prayer, with brass oil lamps and small brass pots arranged on the ground in front. A microphone stand stands among the seated devotees. In the foreground a shaved-headed person in white sits with back to the camera. The scene appears to be a devotional puja or satsang at night.2005-01-14 +1 copiesNovember 20 20092009-11-20October 08 20122012-10-08Night photograph of a large outdoor gathering seated on woven mats in front of a raised orange platform with a small deity murti and offerings at its centre. Many devotees, mostly women in white and cream clothing with some in red and yellow saris, sit with palms pressed together in namaste. A microphone stands in the lower right foreground, and a tall ceremonial pole with curled decorative loops rises behind the platform. Rows of sculptures line the dark background, and a photographer in white stands at the right edge.2010-10-16Night scene at an outdoor meditation gathering with a large seated crowd dressed in white. In the foreground at right, a figure in an orange robe with long dark hair sits on a white cushion before a microphone stand, holding a small object in cupped hands. Before them on a patterned rug are brass bowls, lamps, a kalasha-style pot and offerings of fruit and sweets. Several participants at left sit with hands pressed in namaskar, some wearing rudraksha malas, and a woman in a lavender sari sits among them. Bright lights glow in the dark background. Whether the robed figure is a person cannot be determined from the image alone.2005-12-15October 08 20122012-10-08
