A large crowd of mostly young men in white and pastel shirts fills a hall at an indoor convention. In the foreground, a figure wearing a light blue turban and a blue-and-white robe with a red and white garland places a hand on the forehead of a young man in a white shirt, who has his eyes closed and a palm raised. A young woman in white with a long braid and gold bangles stands beside him with her hands folded. Several people in the background have ID badges on lanyards, and a wall fan is visible at the right edge. In the foreground, a person in a turquoise turban and turquoise-and-red shawl, with long dark hair, places a hand on the forehead of a man in a white shirt, who has his eyes closed and palms raised. A young woman in white with a braid and red-and-gold bangles also raises her hands with eyes lowered. The turquoise-turbaned figure shows distinctive long hair, a turban and vivid shawl, but appearance alone is not enough to confirm identity, so the person is described by role only as a presiding figure giving darshan at a convention session. Ceiling fans and a large audience fill the background.2008-02-09A photograph of a darshan moment at a large indoor gathering. A man in a turquoise turban and turquoise shawl over white clothing, with long dark hair, extends his arm and hand toward a young woman in a white and yellow top and gold bangles, whose head is bowed and whose palms are pressed together. A younger man in a white shirt with a lanyard badge stands behind her with his hand raised. A dense crowd of men in white shirts fills the background. A woman in a mustard-yellow sari with a gold chain holds her palms together in front of her forehead and looks down. Behind them an orange-clad attendant with a red-and-saffron head cloth smiles and gestures toward the devotees. A dense crowd of men and boys in white clothes, many with orange head cloths, fills the hall behind them.2008-02-09Photograph of a darshan session in a crowded hall with many people in white clothes. In the foreground a person in a turquoise turban and turquoise-and-white shawl, with long dark hair, touches the head of a young man in white shirt and trousers, while a woman in a yellow dupatta and white blouse, wearing gold bangles, bows with her hands raised to her head. Behind them a standing crowd in white and orange clothing watches, and an electric fan is visible at right. The turban, long hair and swept shawl are the cues for a probable Swamiji presence, so the central figure is labelled Swamiji (probable) giving darshan to devotees.2008-02-09February 09 20082008-02-09February 09 20082008-02-09
