Beside him stands a golden deity murti of Murugan-style form on a peacock vehicle, a decorated ratha-like canopy and gold frame, garlanded with red-and-white flower garlands and a trident in hand. The murti sits on a red draped platform. A brass oil lamp stands on a small table, and a red-and-pink decorated pillar is in the background. The scene resembles a satsang setting with a deity murti and a guru seated on a throne.2013-11-07A photograph of a temple-style puja set up on a stage with dark red velvet drapes. On the left, a deity murti stands under a gilded arch, draped in a multicolour garland of marigolds and red flowers, with a brass lamp beside it. In the centre, a kneeling figure in a red garment with a white shawl and a garland sits before a silver vessel. On the right, a seated person in a red-brown robe with a white garland rests on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion and lion-shaped armrests, holding one hand on the armrest. In the foreground a woman in a red and orange sari with a red head wrap stands at left, reaching toward a gold lamp stand, with a bare-armed devotee kneeling at the far left edge. Centre stage is a gold ornate arch framing a seated figure draped with multicoloured flower garlands in red, yellow, white and purple, wearing a crown and a white ornamented necklace; this appears to be a deity murti or a figure decorated for worship rather than a living person. In front, a small brass pot and a red-and-white offering are arranged with white and yellow flower garlands. Tall gold lamp stands flank the scene, and a red velvet throne stands at right.2015-06-02 +1 copiesJune 03 20152015-06-03A photograph of a stage set for a ritual event, with a dark maroon velvet backdrop. In the centre, a seated figure in a saffron-orange cloth and matching shawl sits on a gold ornate throne under a gold umbrella-like canopy, hands joined in namaskar, with a trident standing beside the throne. Garlanded deity murtis flank the stage: on the left a figure decorated with yellow and purple flower garlands, on the right a garlanded murti in front of a yellow cloth. Rows of brass oil lamps are placed on the floor at the right. Gold lion sculptures stand on the left and right edges. No clearly distinctive appearance cues establish the seated figure's identity, so the role is given as a seated devotee/ritual officiant.2015-09-05A shaved-headed priest in an orange-brown dhoti and shawl stands barefoot on a red carpet with his back to the camera, facing a gilded throne on the left. On the throne sits a printed portrait of a seated figure wearing a red turban, rudraksha mala and saffron-toned clothing, with a golden umbrella overhead and gilded lion armrests. On the right, a golden alcove holds two deity murtis draped in marigold and yellow garlands, one wearing a crown, under a gold canopy beside an orange cloth backdrop. Maroon velvet drapes hang behind the stage, and brass lamps stand at the sides.2015-11-18November 07 20132013-11-07June 03 20152015-06-03 +1 copiesOctober 04 20162016-10-04 +1 copiesAugust 08 20162016-08-08 +1 copies
