A row of young women seated in profile in a theatrical or ceremonial setting, hands pressed together in anjali mudra. They wear ornate golden crowns with floral and shell-like ornaments, rudraksha and bead necklaces, gold jewellery, and traditional saris: a white sari with red border on the left, a red and gold sari in the centre, and a green and gold sari on the right. Dark red drapery forms the backdrop. Costumed performers in similar crowns appear further along the row.2017-12-27December 27 20172017-12-27December 27 20172017-12-27A stage performance by a group of young performers in elaborate costume, standing in a line against a dark backdrop under pink and magenta stage lighting. Many wear ornate silver and gold crowns and headdresses with curved finials, long beaded necklaces, and saffron, orange and gold draped garments. Several hold their palms together in anjali mudra, and one performer holds a long wooden staff or sword. A few hold small rods or sticks. The image shows a stage presentation rather than a ritual setting.2017-12-27 +1 copiesOctober 24 20122012-10-24October 24 20122012-10-24December 01 20162016-12-01December 12 20112011-12-12October 21 20122012-10-21October 24 20122012-10-24December 01 20162016-12-01December 01 20162016-12-01 +1 copies
