June 04 20062006-06-04A photograph of a shrine room with a bare-backed figure in an orange-saffron cloth standing with long, dark, curly hair seen from behind, facing a central deity murti. The murti is a gold multi-armed goddess with a red-and-gold backdrop, flanked by a golden lion-like figure, garlands of orange and yellow flowers and small silver puja vessels on a silver altar. On the right wall a painting shows a blue-skinned deity with a serpent hood beside a red-clad consort, and on the left a painting shows a woman in pink. Silver railings, brass bells and flower arrangements frame the shrine. The figure's long hair and orange cloth make him a person, seen in devotional worship, but the view from behind leaves identity uncertain.2006-06-04Two people in saffron and orange clothing stand with their backs to the camera before a richly decorated shrine with a silver-framed deity murti. The taller figure on the left is bare-chested with long dark hair and wears an orange wrap; the figure on the right wears an orange t-shirt and an orange shawl over the shoulder, with long dark hair. Silver railings run along the front of the sanctum, and red and gold textiles, flower garlands and oil lamps surround the murti. The walls are painted with panels of Hindu deities, including a goddess riding a lion or tiger and a figure with a trident, and a grid of the sanctum shows red and gold decorative borders. A readable sign reads Om Shri Maa Saraswati, and the scene shows devotees performing darshan at the shrine.2006-06-04June 04 20062006-06-04A photograph inside a temple shrine showing a man seen from behind, wearing a saffron-orange robe draped over his shoulders and a dark rudraksha mala around his neck, with long dark wavy hair. He stands before a golden ornate throne with red cushioning, hands folded in front of him, facing a decorated deity murti garlanded with yellow, red and purple flowers, with brass oil lamps and gold fittings nearby. The setting suggests darshan or puja. The man's long hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala are visible cues, and the page identifies a person at this event, so this is an appearance-based a person candidate with some uncertainty in the cues; he is shown from behind and the face is not visible.2010-08-13September 13 20102010-09-13 +1 copiesJuly 21 20052005-07-21July 21 20102010-07-21September 08 20112011-09-08September 12 20102010-09-12A temple shrine photograph.
