In the foreground a shaved-headed priest in an orange-saffron robe holds a silver aarti lamp with a tall open flame aloft, a traditional deeparadhana gesture. Beside him a second shaved priest in a white dhoti with a garland of white flowers and a silver-coloured offering bowl stands in attendance. The devotee's hands are pressed together in front of the face. Fruit, bananas, a brass plate and a bundle of sticks sit on the floor beside them, and a banana plant leaf hangs in the background. Two people sit in white clothes at a side table in the back of the room. This looks like an aarti or puja with a flame offering. The priest's face is turned down toward the flame and no appearance-based identification is made.2011-11-06November 10 20112011-11-10A photograph of a shaved-headed man in white ritual dress holding up a silver five-flame aarti lamp, with bright flames and smoke rising at night. He wears a gold necklace of beads, bangles and a gold armlet, with a tilak on his forehead. Behind him, several people in maroon and saffron garments with yellow shoulder cloths sit in a blurred crowd, and a microphone stands beside the lamp.
