A person in an orange-red top and rust-brown lower garment squats at the muddy edge of a river, pouring water from a small metal pot into the current. Marigold petals and flower scraps lie along the sandy bank. Wooden boats are moored in the background under a bright, hazy sky, with a few birds on the shore. The person's long dark hair falls forward as they perform the offering.

A person in an orange-saffron top and matching orange-saffron lower garment, with long dark hair swept back, bends at the water's edge and pours water or ash from a small vessel into the river. Scattered orange marigold petals lie on the sandy bank. Several wooden boats with canopies are moored along the shore, and hazy winter light reflects off the water. Two standing men in jackets watch from the left edge, and a few more people sit further back, partly visible.
