A photograph of a decorated floating altar or boat-shaped platform in the middle of a rectangular water tank with red-brick tiered steps on both sides. The platform is adorned with marigold garlands, ornate carved gold-and-red decorations and fountain jets, and is reflected in the still water. Small groups of people in white clothing sit and stand on the steps at left and right, some in white and some in saffron-toned garments. Bright sunlight and lens flare fill the upper left, with trees and a multistory building behind the tank.
