In the foreground a uniformed police officer in khaki with a red belt walks toward the camera. Behind him several men in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls with yellow borders walk barefoot down stone steps; one has a bare upper body with a gold necklace and a white forehead band, and another carries a rudraksha mala. Men in white dhotis and a man holding a teal and gold cloth-wrapped object follow. Heavy wooden doors with iron fittings flank the passage.2012-05-21July 28 20082008-07-28A photograph taken at night at the entrance of a stone temple with a carved doorway and painted ceiling. A figure in an orange saffron robe with a long rudraksha mala, with long dark hair, walks down the striped red-and-white steps. Two uniformed police officers in khaki stand beside and in front of the figure, and a man in a dark jacket and light trousers follows behind. Another uniformed officer stands at right and a person in white is partly visible at the edge. Appearance-based cues are consistent with a candidate, but the face and presentation are not clear enough to confirm identity.2008-07-28May 20 20122012-05-20A photograph of a group walking outdoors past a temple entrance with white and red striped walls and an ornate gateway. In the centre, a man wearing an orange saffron dhoti and shawl, a crown-like headband and a long rudraksha mala walks smiling with his hand raised. Beside him, two other saffron-robed sannyasis, one shaved-headed, also wear rudraksha malas. Uniformed police officers in khaki surround the group, and white-shirted men walk nearby. Swamiji (probable) appears to be the central figure in saffron, marked by the crown-like headband, long rudraksha mala and saffron robes, with the surrounding saffron-robed attendants and khaki-uniformed police escort.2012-05-31 +1 copiesPhotograph taken at night inside a temple gateway with stone pillars carved with floral motifs and blue-green wooden doors behind.
