Night photograph of a fire performance on an open dirt ground. A performer in an ornate, colourful costume with a red-and-gold headdress and a patterned embroidered robe stands in front of a large fan-shaped frame of bamboo-like rods, each tipped with a burning flame, arcing above him like a fiery peacock or halo. Several people in white shirts and dhotis stand at the edges watching, and one person in white in the left foreground is partly visible. Strings of lights glow faintly in the background, and a wall runs along the left side.
