A stage ceremony at a Guru Purnima event, staged before a large backdrop with a printed portrait of a smiling man at top. A central figure seated on an ornate throne covered in white flowers and red-and-white floral arches, wearing orange robes, a red-and-white garland and a red canopy overhead, presses palms together in greeting. Two attendants in orange robes kneel at the sides waving white fly-whisks. Seated before the throne are a man in white clothes, a shaved-head man in orange, and a woman in white with an orange shawl, with brass oil lamps, offerings of fruit and flowers, and a petal-strewn floor in front. The white-garbed man at left is also visible. A small rangoli-like floral pattern and a brass lamp stand at the right edge. This is a padapuja-style ceremony with fruit and flower offerings and lamps.
