Photograph of a Shiva Deeksha initiation at a ceremonial pavilion. A seated man in a rust-orange turban and saffron robe, with a pink flower garland, a gold pendant and rudraksha mala, sits on a silver-and-red throne chair before a gilded arch with a deity murti. A woman in a white sari with a white headband stands at his side, and a young woman in an orange-brown sari sits near him. A long-haired figure in orange dhoti stands with bare shoulders on the left, and several women in orange and white saris with white headbands stand in line, some with hands raised in blessing. Trident, flower garlands, striped floor rugs and a kalasha-style setting frame the ritual scene.
