A large black stone Shivalinga, draped in a band of white and silver cloth and framed by an arched marigold garland, stands on a raised platform in the middle of a water tank, decorated with striped marigold garlands in yellow, orange, red and green. Above it, on a red building's stepped metal scaffold, about a dozen saffron-robed sannyasis stand with their hands raised in prayer and one holds a flame, performing an abhishekam or puja.
