A large crowd of devotees, many wading waist-deep or swimming in a brown water tank, surrounds a gold-canopied palanquin decorated with yellow garlands, balloons and flowers. Two saffron-robed sannyasis stand on the palanquin; the taller one in a bright orange shawl, the other with a full beard in orange robes. A parasol-like gold canopy shelters them. Along the striped red-and-white steps of the tank wall, standing onlookers in white shirts, dhotis and colourful shirts watch. The scene reads as a temple procession with a palanquin carried into water during the Jayanti-Brahmotsavam celebration. Many people are in the water, roughly 50 visible.
