Outdoor photograph of a hillside landscape with scrubby trees, a palm plant and large boulders. On the right, a man in orange robes holds a small ornate shrine or palanquin-like structure with a decorated canopy and a framed portrait garlanded with red flowers, while holding a handbell in his other hand. The shrine stands on a rock amid greenery. He appears to be performing an offering or worship in the open landscape.2008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19A photograph outdoors at a hillside shrine with a rocky, scrub-covered mountain behind. A man in an orange saffron dhoti and shawl stands at right, pouring water from a brass vessel over a large dark boulder, with water streaming down the rock. Green palm fronds and leafy trees fill the foreground. At right edge, a small shrine with colourful bunting and a framed picture of a figure is visible. The man is an appearance-based candidate for a person with only a few cues (orange clothing, a sannyasi-style wrap), so identity is uncertain.2008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19A photograph taken outdoors on a hillside with a rocky, scrubby mountain rising behind green trees and bushes. In the lower right, a person seen from behind, with short dark hair, wears an orange saffron wrap draped over the shoulders and rests a hand on a large brown boulder that has white flowers scattered on it. A small white building sits on a distant slope and a village of low buildings lies in the valley below.2008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19Outdoors in a dry, rocky hilly landscape with sparse green trees and a palm frond, a man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl stands at right, pouring liquid from a silver vessel with a long spout over a large dark rock. Marigold-type yellow flowers and white petals are scattered over the rock, and a small clay dish and a framed portrait are visible nearby. The scene appears to be an abhishekam-style offering at an outdoor shrine. The man's identity cannot be confirmed from appearance, so he is described by role only.2008-05-19A rocky, scrub-covered hill rises under a cloudy sky. In the lower right, a framed photograph of a long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes and a gold necklace, wearing a garland of red flowers, is set on an orange cloth under a multicoloured ceremonial umbrella with a blue emblem. Two people in white stand beside it, one partly visible at the right edge. The framed portrait is a printed image, not a physical person, and the appearance cues on it are the saffron robes, long hair and gold necklace, so the identity is probable but not certain. Green shrubs and small trees fill the foreground.2008-05-19A figure in saffron-orange robes stands outdoors beside a large grey boulder on a hillside with dry scrub and green palms. He pours water or milk from a vessel onto the rock, with a visible stream arcing down. A small shrine with a framed picture and pink-and-green decorations sits at the right edge, and a rocky hill rises behind the trees.2008-05-19
