A standing figure in orange robes stands beside the shrine, and another person in white dhoti stands at left. Many rows of brass vessels and oil lamps are arranged on the floor in front of the shrine, and green banana-leaf and flower garlands frame the entrance. Seated women wear white and cream saris, one wears purple, and others wear blue, with long braided hair. A portrait photo of a woman is placed on a stand near the shrine. The cut-off figure at lower left and the people seated throughout the foreground indicate a dense audience at an abhishekam-style ritual.2010-01-01June 06 20102010-06-06July 23 20102010-07-23June 06 20102010-06-06A photograph of a large crowd of devotees seated on mats and the floor inside a open-sided temple hall with a corrugated metal roof and white block walls. Most are dressed in white clothing, with some in orange and saffron. They face a raised shrine at the front where a standing figure in an orange robe performs ritual service before a deity murti with red and gold decorations, flanked by red curtains and lit by ceiling lights and an oil lamp. Several participants sit in the foreground, and a person on the far right wears orange and sits on a white plastic chair. The scene suggests a temple arati in progress, with an orange-clad figure at the shrine and a seated congregation.2007-02-11 +1 copiesJuly 21 20102010-07-21A photograph of a temple shrine hall where several women in white and cream saris sit on orange mats, hands folded in prayer, before a gold-framed throne. Behind them a shrine holds a deity murti in yellow and gold garments with flower garlands, and a smaller figure in orange. Brass plates of offerings and a silver tray sit on the floor, and a microphone stands at left. An orange and white striped wall and orange curtains frame the hall, with palm trees visible outside.2010-09-30January 20 20082008-01-20
