The scene suggests a temple outdoor setting.

A photograph of an outdoor puja at a temple setting with palm trees behind. A man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a sacred ash mark on his forehead and a shaved head, stands at right holding a brass plate with small oil lamps and a flower. He reaches to place a red flower on the head of a dark stone Nandi bull statue, which wears a beaded garland and sits on a pedestal with water on its base. A tall copper-toned lamp stand and a brass pot are visible nearby. Only the standing priest is a physical person in the scene; a stone Nandi bull statue is depicted rather than a person.
