Photograph taken on a sandy beach at the water's edge, rotated sideways in the frame. Three people walk in a line along the shore: at the front, a figure in an orange-red robe with long dark hair and a dark rudraksha-style necklace; behind them, a person in a white dhoti with gold borders and a bare upper body; and at the top, a person in a reddish-brown robe with a shaved head. The sea and pale sky fill the right side of the frame.

The front figure, in the foreground, wears a rust-orange dhoti and shawl, with long dark hair falling in braids over his shoulders, a full beard and a rudraksha mala. Beside him a bald man in rust-orange cloth, bare-chested and wearing a red-orange shawl, holds a mobile phone to his ear. Two men further left wear white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas, one carrying a brown leather bag on his shoulder and the other holding a striped cloth. Scattered green leaves lie on the sand. The bright hazy sky and sea fill the background.2016-10-19Four men walk barefoot along a wet sandy beach toward the right, with the surf and pale hazy sky behind them. The man at the front right wears a rust-orange dhoti and shawl, has long dark hair plaited down his back and a full beard, and carries a cloth in his hand; he appears to be the leader. The three men behind him wear white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha or bead malas, one of them with a shaved head and a rust-coloured shawl draped over his shoulder. Fallen green leaves are scattered across the sand.2016-10-19Four men walk barefoot along a wide sandy beach at the water's edge, with small waves breaking on the right under a hazy sky. The man on the far right, with long dreadlocked hair and a beard, wears an orange-red cloth wrapped over his body and walks in front. Beside and behind him are two men in white dhotis with orange-gold borders and bare upper bodies, one wearing a rudraksha mala, and a shaved-headed man in orange-red cloth with a rudraksha necklace. In the centre, a bearded man with long dark hair falling past his shoulders wears a rust-orange dhoti and shawl with a tilak on his forehead; the two-people-or-fewer candidate has no clear ceremonial cues beyond that, so his identity is uncertain. To the left, a younger man in a white dhoti with yellow-gold borders wears a rudraksha mala and bangles. To the right, a shaved-headed man in a rust-orange dhoti with a gold border holds a phone to his ear. A partial figure enters at the far right edge.2016-10-19October 19 20162016-10-19A photograph of a beach at the water's edge with waves breaking on pale sand and a small boat on the distant sea under a hazy sky. Three men walk barefoot along the shoreline. To the left, a bare-chested man with a shaved head wears a saffron-orange wrap and a rudraksha mala around his neck while looking at a mobile phone, and a bearded man in white dhoti stands at the far left edge. Footprints and scattered flower petals mark the sand.2016-10-19
