Night photograph of devotees gathered at a temple shrine decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands and green leaf festoons. Dozens of devotees in white dhotis and mundus, several with orange-red shawls, stand with palms pressed together or raised in worship before a deity murti dressed in bright garlands at the centre of the shrine. A lit oil lamp stands at the right side of the shrine. Cameras and a camera operator are visible at the right and lower left edges. Hanging yellow tassels and a painted banner frame the top of the scene.

Red and orange draped cloth surrounds the altar, and tall brass oil lamps stand on both sides. In the foreground, a man in white dhoti and shirt with a yellow shawl holds a brass vessel, possibly for abhishekam or puja. Several devotees in white clothing, one woman in a white sari with a red-bordered blouse, others in saris and a bald man in an orange shirt, stand with folded hands and garlands in a crowded procession around the shrine. The scene suggests darshan at a temple.2009-12-30
