Outdoor photograph of a monastic training session on bare earth beneath large leafy trees. Several people in white dhotis and white kurtas bend over circular earthen rings laid out on the ground, some kneeling and working with their hands. A person in a saffron-orange robe stands near the centre-right, beside a green bucket, and another in orange stands nearby. A white-clad group stands at the right near a red-and-white striped boundary wall and steps. A faint logo appears in the upper left corner.

Many people in plain white clothes, several with orange or saffron shawls draped over their shoulders, stand and move among circular outlines marked by low earthen or stone rings on the ground. A man with white hair and glasses in a white shirt and white dhoti stands centre frame with arms folded, while others stand or bend nearby. A folded white and blue cloth lies inside one ring, and a plastic water bottle sits on the ground. Stacked bricks appear at the right edge.2006-08-17Outdoor monastic training ritual on bare earth under palm trees at an ashram compound. Several circular earthen rings enclose small fire or offering pits. A man in plain white dhoti stands barefoot near the centre with his head shaved, facing the rings. Around him people in white clothes and orange shawls stand or kneel, one woman in white sits cross-legged at the left edge, and a person in white holds a small brass vessel. White-painted steps and a low wall lie behind, with a white dome faintly visible in the distance. The scene suggests a homa or yagna-style ceremony.2006-08-17Outdoor ritual ground with many circular earthen rings on bare sand, each ring containing offerings or a small kalasha-like vessel. Numerous participants in white dhotis and saris, some wearing orange shawls, stand and move among the rings under a grey sky and large trees. A red and white striped barrier and white cloth tent line the background, with a small fire burning at right. A figure in white with a shaved head stands at center near a ring, but appearance alone is insufficient to identify him, so he is described only as a priest in white.
